What to Expect on Your First Visit

The information you provide us here helps greatly with understanding any current and past medical issues you might have as well as allowing us to establish your new records with Savoy Chiropractic.

We are a participating provider for most major medical insurance plans.  Please call our office and we would be happy to verify your benefits. We also accept insurance related to personal injury and auto accidents.

  • Payment Options

We accept payment with credit card as well as personal checks and cash. We also offer an interest-free payment plan.

Doctor Consultation
Once your initial paperwork is complete you will sit down with Dr. Savoy and discuss your specific health-related concerns, as well as possible options. We take great care in treating the whole person and look forward to getting to know more about you.

History and Physical Examination
Dr. Savoy takes great care in determining the root cause of issues you are experiencing, and prefers to take the holistic approach of treating the entire problem and not just the symptoms. He does this by using a number of different specialized yet simple orthopedic and neurologic tests. These tests are performed to determine the severity of the condition and what tissues are affected.

X-ray Studies
Some specific conditions require the use of x-rays to not only confirm the diagnosis but to also rule out other more serious problems that may be developing. These x-rays are only taken when they are absolutely necessary and only of the affected areas. We use the latest procedures to reduce exposure and clearly evaluate the problem.

Treatment in Private Rooms
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients may be provided with their initial treatment that day. This may include gentle spinal adjustments along with physical and/or soft tissue therapies.

Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, Dr. Savoy commonly gives patients specific instructions on certain activities that should and should not be done at home. This may include the use of ice or heat, the correct positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment
Since our primary motivation is to help fix your current issue, we will help you find a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally, the doctor recommends a follow up visit within 1-2 days after your initial visit to review your diagnosis and treatment options. During your second visit we will discuss your specific problem in greater depth and how we can best help you to alleviate the problem in the most efficient manner possible.
